I have fibromyalgia so staying comfortable is very difficult, but super important! I always have book in hand, coffe next to the bed on a warming plate, dogs in the bed with me for extra coziness and heaps of pillows and blankets. Some time I have scented lavender nearby to help relax me as well. :0)

I like to curl up with a blanket, a book and cup of tea. I do have a chaise lounge I bought just for me to read on, but my two Miniature Schnauzers think I bought it for them.

I make lemonade on warm days and a mug of hot chocolate on cold days. I also rest my eyes for 15 minutes every hour.

I have some cozy spots around the house . . . a couple of different couches, chairs and, if all else fails, there's always my ultra-comfy waterbed! In the warm months, I spent a lot of time on my patio or private deck with a cool beverage, reading quietly.

I stay comfy by either reading in bed all covered up and snuggly, on the couch all covered up and snuggly, or in my big green papasan chair all covered up and snuggly. Min Pin snuggle time is also welcome while I'm reading! I make sure I have something to drink nearby, the phone in case anyone calls, and usually a few other things. ReplyDeleteI have difficulty with that sometimes. I usually have to move to different spots once in a while. I do really have a very comfy reclining lawn chair that I use when we are camping, that I can stay in for HOURS without discomfort. I guess I need to get one for in my house!

ReplyDeleteI stay comfortable mainly by reading in comfortable places--on my bed or in soft chair. Changing positions often is the key. And coffee and a blanket, depending on temperatures. Sometimes if I have a blanket I'll just fall asleep, though!
I shift a lot but usually I'm in my comfy recliner with a throw over me.

ReplyDeleteI have a comfy chair in the corner of my living room with my laptop beside me, one of my grandmother's quilts to cover me and a drink of choice on the other side. Usually the kids are in the same room so I can talk to them from time to time as well. The chair allows me a bunch of ways to sit so I can move around when various parts start to go to sleep :)

ReplyDeleteI love to get myself all set up in advance - peel and section a bunch of oranges and put them in a bowl - get myself something wonderful to drink (a really nice red wine is my personal favorite) and a stack of my reads and only move off the couch if I have to! Of course I get the chance to do this about once every three years, but when I do it's great!

ReplyDeleteThat's a tricky one. My favorite place to read is on the couch in my living room. That way I can read and be with family at the same time. The problem is that I do get uncomfortable after sitting in the same place for too long. I constantly shift positions, and if all else fails, I go up to bed and read. I always have to have my blankets though and in winter the heating pad to keep my feet warm.
